Dear Sir, I have done a study on beards, and what I have found is that beards were a sign of manhood and integrity. They were the style of that day when Jesus lived. Those who were shaven were either in mourning or effeminates. Remember, the oil ran down onto Aaron's beard (Psalms 133).
