My thoughts concerning curling irons and perms.

Question:
I see nothing wrong with curling irons or perms....if you think about it, we alter our natural appearance Jesus gave us when we shave our legs, when men shave their beards. What are your thoughts on this? Thank you.
Answer:
Perhaps shaving off any hair should be considered just as much a vanity as getting a perm. By the way, we did not say that we were opposed to all use of a curling iron. The difference is that a perm uses chemicals to alter the natural state of the hair. Curling and shaving simply modify in a temporary way what is natural. But you have almost convinced me I should stop shaving.
