Question: I am a holy ghost filled christian. And i know that we are suppose to pray for our leaders but it is really hard for me to pray for our president. So my question is what is your view on president Bush. thanks god bless, blake

Answer: We don't think our views on President Bush are relevant to your issue. In 1 Timothy 2:1-2 Paul wrote: 'Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.' At the time he wrote these words, the Roman Empire was undoubtedly under the dominion of one of the corrupt emperors, perhaps Nero or Caligula. But what Timothy thought about his political rulers was not relevant to Paul's instruction to pray for them. In fact, if there is a leader you disapprove of, all the more reason to pray that God will change him for the better.
