Question:
Are there two hells? Also, what does polity mean?
Answer:
The words 'sheol' (Hebrew, OT) and 'hades' (Greek, NT) are sometimes translated 'hell' but actually refer to the grave or the place of the dead. There is also the lake of fire, the place of final destruction, which is sometimes called hell.
The word 'polity' means the organizational structure of a church or government.
