Question:
Moses put two cherubims on top of the mercy seat of the ark, and he also made the brazen serpent. It should be understood that we shouldn't WORSHIP THESE THINGS, not that it's wrong to make or wear these symbols. I like to use scripture when I tell someone what the Bible says, or doesn't say something. It keeps my personal opinion out it.
Answer:
We think you have made the same point we did about crucifixes: They should not be worshiped. As we said, objects are not good or evil in and of themselves. If you think it is okay to wear a golden cherub or a brass serpent, you are certainly free to do so. But please don't condemn those of us who find the wearing of such decorations inapproppriate for people who profess godliness.
