Don't skirts make me an easy target?

Question: Well some guys say that skirts are just easy access. I think they are just playing around, but it bothers me and if you think about it, it is true that it would be easier for someone to rape me or something of that sort. So why skirts?
Answer: Using your logic, perhaps all of us should walk around wearing a suit of armor. But even armor would not protect us from everything. Therefore, rather than dressing according to our own ideas, we believe God's people should dress in accordance with the principles of His Word. We also believe that women can protect themselves from rape by avoiding being alone in dangerous places, by carrying a spray container of mace, and by committing their lives to the care of the Lord Jesus. There are no guarantees in life and the world is certainly full of evil people, so let us be prudent and trust God, and let us not allow the fear of harm to govern our values and practices.
