Question: I know as apostolic's we are not supposed to go to movie theaters, but what about plays and Christian concerts? Concerts and plays are announced so people know what your seeing, is it still wrong if you you use your good judgment? ~*THANKS SO MUCH*~

Answer: Each assembly has its own views and policies on these matters. In some ways, we see so-called Christian concerts as the most ungodly of all, since they usually turn what God intended to be worship into a show. They also usually charge admission, which is a particularly evil practice. As Peter said, 'Your money perish with you, because you thought that the gift of God could be purchased with money!' (Acts 8:20). God doesn't charge money for His blessings. Many movies and plays are ungodly and immoral and should definitely be avoided. Some are wholesome and even edifying. Great wisdom and discernment are required when it comes to what we set before our eyes and what we allow into our ears, since these are the portals into the inner man. And as the saying goes, 'Garbage in, garbage out!'
