Question:
I have been told that to say that you are blessed you are truly saying that you are completely satisfied in God. I have not been able to find that but I do believe it, I just wanted to know your thoughts on that.
Answer:
To say that you are blessed is to make a generalized expression of happiness and contentment in the Lord. It may mean slightly different things to different people, but this is the general idea. We should understand that it does not necessarily relate to our external condition. In other words, a person may be in poverty yet still be blessed in the Lord, or may be seriously ill yet still be blessed. Blessedness is more a condition of the inner man than the outward.
