Should I tithe when my husband says no?

Question:
My husband does not tithe and does not want me to tithe. He is the wage earner, and I cannot work. He becomes quite angry when he learns that I have tithed...I fear his finding out! What is right here?
Answer:
We believe that you are usurping his authority as your head by sneaking around behind his back and giving money that he has told you not to give. God cannot bless your actions. You are not responsible for whether or not your husband tithes on the money he earns, so we encourage you to submit to him as unto the Lord.
