Question:
If I claim to be a Christian and one of my relatives commits a crime, is it my duty as a Christian to turn them in? The crime was a hit and run accident and I found out weeks later.
Answer:
We suggest you first attempt to persuade your relative to turn himself in. If he refuses, then let him know that you intend to report his name to the police. If he still refuses, then we believe you should report him to the proper authorities. Christians are expected to be good citizens and in our opinion, this would be good citizenship on your part.
