Jesus will come at THE time.

Question:
Galatians 4:4 says, 'But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law.' When God thinks the time is right--that is, when everything converges to what He is looking for (notice the Word said: “THE” time, not just any time)...Jesus will come back. God is waiting for THE time when His church (His body) will be EXACTLY where He feels she should be, then Jesus (who is God manifested in the flesh--the HEAD), will come back. THE time is up to us, and God will wait until that happens. In other words, it may be KNOWN to the Father…but it is up to the Church WHEN Jesus will come back. I believe this is the point (one of many, you brought out another one in your response) Jesus was trying to convey to His disciples in Acts 1:7-8. To paraphrase (Acts 1:7-8): “God knows the time--you (the Church) are going to receive power to make it happen.” Rom 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
Answer:
We have a slightly different take. Paul told the Athenians that God 'has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained' (Acts 17:31). We believe that God selected a specific date for the second coming of the Messiah before time began. We do not believe it depends of the church at all. Having said that, we do believe that in His wisdom God has a plan for bringing the church to exactly where He wants her to be by that date.
Perhaps we are saying the same thing, only from differing perspectives. The main point we would make is that in the grand plan, nothing hinges on the performace of man, only on the purpose and power of God, who works all things according to the counsel of His own will.
