Question: It is true that the KJV translation states that the hair length of a women is to be long. The 'NO CUT' rule is not in scripture. Why does the Oneness Apostolic movement continue to hold to this non-scriptural interpretation?

Answer: The term 'long' is relative. How long is long? Is it 5 inches, 10 inches, 2 feet? The Greek word 'komeo' does not mean long in a literal sense, it means freely growing. The implication is that if a woman allows her hair to grow freely it will be long, regardless of it's actual length. This is why many apostolic churches teach that a woman should allow her hair to grow freely. It is not a 'no cut' rule as you describe. It is a way that a Christian woman can glorify God. It is a visible symbol of an invisible reality.
