Question: I was baptized back in December 1979. I went to view my relatives get baptized. I ended up getting baptized just as someone had a dream seeing everyone get baptized, but they could not make out who I was in the dream. In any case, I was baptized as Mary Felipe. I heard some speak of doing things correctly for some sort of sake (righteousness sake or whatever). So I wanted to know, for that very sake or reason, if I should correctly be baptized in my name. Just as we do not use titles in baptism, why would we allow wrong names as well? Just a question. Mary Valeriano Martinez

Answer: We don't believe that your name has anything to do with whether or not your baptism was correct. The only thing that matters in baptism is the name of Jesus Christ.
