Question:
I wanted to witness to a co-worker. I don't think she believes in God because her baby was born mentally handicapped. She put her baby in a nursing home due to the fact that the child will never be normal and other unhappy matters of which she seems to have had no control. What do you say to someone unsaved who has tragicly lost a baby or a loved one? How do you explain a deformed or brain injured born baby to a non-believer?
Answer:
There are some things we simply do not have answers for because the Bible doesn't tell us. We suggest that you encourge your friend to look to Jesus for comfort and peace, not necessarily for answers. The answers may not come until the next life.
